I will be running my first half marathon at The Age Run Melbourne on the 27th of July to raise money for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) research. While I am a bit nervous about it, I’m excited to be raising money for a cause I so strongly believe in. ASD is a lifelong developmental condition that affects about 1 in 100 people. People with ASD struggle with social interaction and communication and may sometimes find the world and its demands to be confusing, distressing and overwhelming.
I'm currently a staff at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) and I find the work done at the centre to be truly inspiring. From research on early identification to lifespan interventions, they all aim to better understand ASD and improve the quality of life of affected individuals and their families.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button and spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. The more people know about OTARC, the greater their impact on the community. Thank you for your generosity, it means a lot!
